What We Do

We Empower

Our goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible within their community.

We Support

We support individuals with disabilities where they want to be living: in their homes helping take care of them and administer medication, at work, school, church, the local grocery store, movie theater, with friends and more.

We Advocate

As advocates for those we serve, we teach essential life skills that help individuals with disabilities address personal needs, reach personal goals, and feel as though they have a voice in their community.

We Care

We are natural-born caretakers who value those we support, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times and helping them reach their full potential.

We Educate

Education is key to living a fulfilling life; we teach personal care, nutrition, domestic skills, money management and maintenance of adaptive and technological devices.

We Work as a Team

To best help those we support, we need to be team-players; participating in staff meetings, sharing stories, observations, challenges, exercises, and notes all help us be the best DSPs possible.

We Solve Problems

To allow the individuals we support to live the most fulfilling lives possible, we teach and guide on problem-solving skills and help guide on healthy decision-making.

We Engage

We help our individuals engage within their community, allowing them to connect with and be supported by other people, organizations, and services that can help them live fulfilling, independent lives.

We Cook & Clean

We teach and assist in the maintenance, upkeep, housekeeping and cleanliness of the residence including keeping ramps and walkways free of debris and snow.

We Document

Keeping notes and documents well organized is a must. We submit paperwork related to our activities and expenses for billing purposes.

We Drive

As DSPs, we can do a lot of driving at times whether it be going with the individuals we support to personal or community activities and events, or attend social, educational, vocational, and recreation activities.

We Train

DSPs receive top-class certification training to set them up for success in their roles. Trainings include: Strategies in Crisis Intervention & Prevention; First Aid & CPR; Approved Medication Administration Personnel (AMAP) Training to help DSPs learn how to administer medication.
